Dr. Kate Truitt, PhD, MBA, is a clinical psychologist, applied neuroscientist, researcher, and internationally recognized expert in trauma, stress, resilience, and neuroplasticity. With more than two decades of experience, she translates the science of the brain and behavior into practical, evidence-informed approaches that support healing, resilience, and meaningful change. An international bestselling author, speaker, and entrepreneur, Dr. Truitt brings together neuroscience, clinical psychology, and organizational leadership to advance mental health literacy and empower individuals, clinicians, educators, and organizations with tools for navigating the complexities of the human experience.
Rebecca Turner, LMFT

With humor, creativity, compassion, and curiosity, Rebecca Turner brings neuroscience-informed care into every aspect of her work. She believes deeply in listening to the person in front of her—understanding their experiences, needs, and goals while creating a therapeutic relationship grounded in trust and genuine connection. Rebecca works with clients navigating a range of concerns, including chronic pain and the emotional and psychological impact of living with ongoing health challenges. As the Clinical Director of Dr. Kate Truitt & Associates, she supports clinical excellence across the practice while continuing to provide individual therapy. Rebecca also leads the practice’s Neurofeedback Program, helping clients strengthen regulation, resilience, and meaningful change from the brain outward.
Lorelei Batoon
Office Manager
Lorelei Batoon’s work as Office Manager is essential to the warm, professional, and inviting experience our clients encounter every day. A part of the Dr. Kate Truitt & Associates family since the practice first opened its doors, Lorelei has been alongside us from day one and has played an instrumental role in helping the practice grow into the community it is today. Her care, dedication, and deep knowledge of the practice are woven throughout our client experience and day-to-day operations. From supporting clients and clinicians to continuously strengthening the systems that keep our practice running smoothly, Lorelei brings warmth, thoughtfulness, and an extraordinary commitment to everything she does. Head of Research & Clinical Associate
Dr. McKenna Walsh is a psychotherapist and Head of Research specializing in couples, families, developmental trauma, executive leadership, ADHD, and resilience. Her clinical work is grounded in a systemic, trauma-informed lens, helping clients understand how early experiences, relational patterns, stress physiology, and family dynamics shape emotional well-being, identity, and connection. Dr. Walsh supports clients in building greater insight, strengthening relationships, and creating more adaptive pathways for healing, resilience, and change.
Damien Gonsalves, LMFT

Clinical Associate
Damien builds compassion and constructive rapport with clients to provide exceptional care as a therapist focused on solutions. He specializes in LGBTQIA affirmative therapy, substance abuse treatment, and trauma therapy, including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR). He helps clients regulate their psychological states and process and release trauma held in the body, integrating EMDR with innovative, cutting-edge techniques grounded in neuroscience.

Dr. Jill Philo has dedicated the past 20 years to helping others reclaim their health through a holistic, innovative, and multi-disciplinary approach based in neuroscience. She does this by helping educate clients on how lifestyle choices and environmental factors can hold them back from their full health potential. She uses her extensive Naturopathic knowledge to create and teach personalized change plans.

Julia Myers is a Research Fellow with Dr. Kate Truitt & Associates, supporting applied psychology research focused on trauma-informed care, resilience, identity, religious trauma, sexuality, and psychological safety. She is currently completing her doctorate at Fuller University.

Julia Leible is a Research Fellow with the Truitt Institute, supporting research that bridges psychological research and direct clinical practice. She is currently completing her M.A in Marriage & Family Therapy at Saint Louis University.

Michelle Cruz guides the day-to-day execution of digital communications through a trauma-informed and audience-centered approach.
