Did You Know?

Did you know that anxiety is the most common mental health disorder in the United States? That’s about 18% of the population according to the National Institute of Mental Health.
Humans are wired to seek out connection and understanding from others. Healing with others greatly reduces the sense of isolation anxiety frequently generates.
Do you believe in yourself? Are you confident in your abilities? Do you feel capable? Do you feel strong? Are you content? Our past often leaves subtle impressions on us that ultimately have a huge impact on our future. It is time to release the past and start living fully in your present.
Are you ready to release those old debilitating fears of failure, not being good enough, or not be worthy? Isn’t it time to leave behind the drumming force of negativity or anxiety that haunts your days? It is time to finally embrace your true power and experience the true vibrance of your life. It is time to choose you!

THRIVE – An Online Group for Living Beyond Anxiety

“A diamond is just a piece of charcoal that handled stress exceptionally well.”

Anxiety is part of being human. At its core, anxiety is designed to alert us to potential dangers and motivate us to act to keep ourselves or others safe. But anxiety can easily shift from helpful to harmful, bringing with it agitation, worry, sleep disturbances, irritability, racing thoughts, and more. In fact, during the COVID-19 pandemic, anxiety disorders increased by ~25%, impacting 374 million people[1]. Anxiety has tipped from helpful to harmful for so many people, and if you are one of them, you are not alone.

People who suffer from anxiety often feel alone in their struggle, even harshly criticizing themselves for the intensity and reality of their anxiety. Group therapy becomes a powerful place for those with anxiety to support each other, hear about the experiences of others, and learn tools to work with anxiety so it can return to the helpful information from our mind and body it is intended to be.

The Thrive Group is a neuroscience-based Skills and Process Group for Navigating Anxiety and is open to those 18 and older who reside in the state of California. We know people with anxiety are often handling many responsibilities and pressures, so this group is designed with you in mind:

  • 60-minute sessions; held weekly on Wednesdays from 5:30-6:30pm via Zoom;
  • Practical and applicable tool to put into practice immediately;
  • Designed so that members can join at any time, join sessions when their schedule allows, and can continue in the group for as long as they would like, enhancing their ability to put the tools, techniques and perspectives from the group into practice in many different situations.

Each session includes a guided mindfulness meditation and autonomic nervous system regulation practice key to coping with anxiety, a topic and skill that focuses on the neuroscience of anxiety and space to connect with others. Tools and skills are drawn from CBT, mindfulness, neurobiology, communication tools, and more.

Join us as we navigate the very human experience of anxiety from a place of curiosity, support, and resilience!
