Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist
About Rebecca Turner, LMFT, BCN
Rebecca Turner is a licensed psychotherapist with a Master of Science in Marriage & Family Therapy, with a concentration in Medical Family Therapy, and is Board Certified in Neurofeedback. Curious about the brain for decades, Rebecca’s clinical work is grounded in neuroscience-informed, trauma-responsive care that honors both the nervous system and the lived human experience.
Rebecca serves as the Clinical Director of Dr. Kate Truitt & Associates, where she guides clinical quality, ethical excellence, and team development. Alongside her leadership role, she continues to provide individual therapy, bringing a compassionate, relational, and nervous-system-attuned presence into the therapy room.
Her clinical approach integrates Psychodynamic therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Narrative Therapy, and Systems Theory, all deepened by a neurobiological lens. Rebecca pays close attention to patterns—how the brain protects, how relationships shape experience, and how the body carries what words often cannot—while keeping the work collaborative, grounded, and accessible.
Starting with the brain and nervous system, Rebecca invites the whole self into the healing process. Guided by humor, creativity, compassion, and curiosity, she partners with clients to build personalized, empowered paths toward stability, insight, and meaningful change.
Rebecca’s work commonly supports clients navigating:
- PTSD and traumatic stress, acute trauma, and trauma-related relational patterns, Rebecca is Certified in Havening and a Lead Trainer in the NeuroTriad Model.
- Complex grief and loss, particularly when grief intersects with trauma or long-standing stress. Rebecca is a Certified Grief Practitioner (CGP)
- Anxiety disorders and phobias, approached through a neurobiological lens; Rebecca is a Certified Clinical Anxiety Treatment Professional (CCATP)
- Chronic pain and chronic illness, with attention to both physiological stress patterns and the psychological impact of long-term health challenges
- Highly Sensitive People, offering a space where heightened emotional and sensory sensitivity is understood, supported, and reframed as a strength
- Psychosensory and regulation-focused interventions to support nervous system stability and resilience
